The holidays around LwithT HQ can be quite busy. Lots of orders to fill, art to make, dolls to sew…you get the idea. While sequestered in a foggy frenzy of thread and ink, I was beginning to think that I just may, in fact, reach my inventory goals for the holiday sales and craft fairs coming up.

Cue interruption.

Actually the interruption was a welcome one! I was approached by one of the editors of and asked if I would like to participate in their Cool Hunting for Gap Pop Up Shop on 5th Avenue in New York City. It is their first ever pop up store and it brings together products from local, independent New York companies in a beautifully designed space located next to the Gap.

I said OK. They said send 100 legs. I said OK. They said they need it, like, right now. I said OK. Cue Benny Hill theme song.

Here is intern Moo checking the order for quality before it left for the shop earlier this week:

If you find yourself on a pilgrimage to St Patrick’s Cathedral, the window displays at Bergdorf Goodman or just feel like you want to get into the sometimes nutty Holiday in the Big City mood, stop on by the shop…it will be there seven days a week through January 2nd for all your Severed Leg Catnip Toy / bikes made of bamboo / foam ducky sponge / chocolate made in Brooklyn needs!
